Chattahoochee Nature Center LogoChattahoochee Nature Center Logo   With the ‘Life as we knew It’ scenario becoming more and more a reality after Covid 2020, I am happy that the Art Exhibitions that I enjoy participating in are once again happening. With this in mind, I am proud to announce that I had one of my works selected for the “Spread Your Wings’ Exhibit at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) in Roswell Georgia. This is a juried photography exhibit in association with the Georgia Nature Photographers Association (GNPA) and was open to the very talented membership of photographers for submissions. The exhibit coincides with the CNC Butterfly Festival and is running June 4th thru August 25th 2021.

The following is from the President of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association, Eric Bowles, regarding this exhibit:

“An enthusiastic response by GNPA members resulted in 276 entries this month for the “Spread Your Wings” gallery exhibit at Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. Of those entries, only 24 could be chosen to hang in the gallery. The level of photography was excellent, and there were a number of truly outstanding photos.

I (Eric Bowles) judged the competition and made the selections for the gallery. The winning images will be selected after the framed prints are delivered in early June. The gallery exhibit opens on June 4, 2021.

GNPA Logo_4GNPA Logo_4 Overall, the images for the gallery exhibit were selected based on artistic image quality, with an effort to strike a balance of different types of winged subjects and their behavior. The selected images were determined to be the best of their specific group or species, and in many cases showed creativity or unusual behavior. All were well edited to present the subject naturally and in a positive light. While we had to narrow it down to just 24 images to hang in the gallery, there were over 90 images submitted that were selected as finalists and were worthy of hanging in any GNPA exhibit.”

My Image selected was:
'Foggy Morning Take-Off'

I am very Honored to have one of my works invited to this exhibition. This is a Mixed Media Show with some of Atlanta's most gifted Artist. Photography is often not considered a true art form by those who labor to realize artistic ideas from painting, drawing, sculpture, weaving, artistic design, folk art, graphic art, illustration, mosaic, stained glass, tapestry, wood or metal working. So to me this is a big deal to be in with such creative company.

My image that was invited was

“YOU ARE INVITED”

Dear Family and Friends,

We are pleased and excited to announce that Michael Ramy’s exceptional Wildlife and Nature Photography has been invited for exhibitions with other outstanding Artists in five Georgia Juried Art Show Competitions from August through November of 2019.

Additionally, of special mention, is his personal invitation to participate in a showcase exhibition entitled
“A Man’s View Point” where his work will be represented along side six other especially chosen male photographers. The seven photographers will have 10 works each on display at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville Georgia for an exhibition open to the public from October 3rd through November 21st.
Mike will be Presenting:  “GATOR’S GALORE”

Many of you are familiar with the beautiful images that Mike’s work behind a camera has provided to both private and public sectors over the years. His background in Videography, Environmental Advocacy, and Wildlife / Nature Photography Workshop Tours have resulted in displays of stunning photographic artistry which must be viewed first hand to fully appreciate. The passion and commitment that Mike has for the natural environment are immediately evident in  wonderful collections of masterfully framed works that is both captivating and compelling. Mike and I will be greeting everyone at the Opening Receptions of each event.

The following list of specific locations, dates, and times of these six exhibitions promise to reward those in attendance afternoons and evenings of enjoyment in the world of beautiful art. We hope you are able to join us, as we’d love to share these venues with you. Refreshments will be provided at the Opening Receptions.
